How do I connect a DEIF BGC-2 to the Impulse gateway?

Instructions

Please note! You will need a USB expansion card for your Impulse gateway to complete this installation.

To connect the DEIF BGC-2 to the Impulse gateway, you need the following components:

  • o DEIF programming interface Basic Genset Controller: RJ11 to RS232
  • o StarTech ICUSB2322F: 1x USB to 2x RS232
  • o StarTech SCNM9FF1MBK: RS232 female to RS232 female (null-modem cable)

If you want to connect two BGC-2s to one gateway, you will need two null modem cables.

1. Connect the DEIF BGC-2 to the programming interface via the RJ11 socket.


2. Connect the programming interface to the null-modem cable.


3. Connect the null-modem cable to the RS232 <> USB cable.

 


4. Connect the RS232 <> USB cable to the USB connector of the Impulse gateway.
